Christmas Party Time in Fatima!!
Hey Everybody!
We at Fatima had an action packed Christmas Celebration Day on Thursday the 20th of December.
We went to our local community centre and all sat down together, students with staff, to enjoy some tasty, hot food.
We spent the afternoon dancing away to the catchy tunes played by our resident DJ & Senior 3 student Orrin Murphy aka DJ Thunderman. He selected tunes that had everyone up on the dance floor.
We also had a VIP guest visit us!! SANTA!! Every student got a chance to see Santa and chat to him. He handed out lovely presents for our junior classes and selection boxes for every other student.
We had such a great time and everyone really got into the Christmas spirit.
We here in Senior 3 would like to wish everyone a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
We will keep you updated on all our latest news in the new year.

Christmas week at Our Lady of Fatima
Wednesday was a very eventful day here at Our Lady of Fatima school. The Junior classes performed a Christmas nativity play for the students, staff, parents and carers. They were truly magnificent and we were all so proud of our budding young actors! 💓 Well done to all involved, especially the Lorraine, the very talented director/producer 😊
Ms. Rossiter's Dance Group put on a Zumba show for the school next and got the whole audience going with an energetic and exciting performance from the middle school dance students. They've practiced every Tuesday for the past couple of months and shown us how dance really does promote positive vibes! Their confidence was fantastic 👍 Well done to all!
Prizegiving was after lunch - it was wonderful to see everyone's hard work pay off. Congratulations to Orrin in Senior 3 who was presented with Student of the Term. Well deserved.

Books for life 📚
We go to our local library every Monday afternoon, and this week was no different for Senior 3. After our hot chocolate treats we made our way to the library to return some books and have a browse...

A Christmas treat 💝
Senior 3 absolutely loved their Christmas hot chocolates in Costa coffee-shop on Monday afternoon... A real treat after watching the wonderful buskers of Our Lady of Fatima :)
Busking on the main street!
Senior 3 took a trip downtown on Monday after lunch to watch students from the Middle and Senior school at Our Lady of Fatima busk on the main street of Wexford. We loved it and even stayed a while to join in! The Christmas carols filled the street with a joyful air and lots of passers-by donated to the school. Well done all!

Christmas Carols service 2018

Dancing on Ice :))
Senior 3 had an eventful morning on Wednesday morning as the class took a trip into town to go ice-skating, along with Middle 1, 2 and 3! We had a really fantastic time. There were a few falls and bumps, but it was laughter and fun all round. Some students chose to watch from the side and they enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows to warm them up. There was a wonderful atmosphere and Christmas was truly in the air! 💖

November news
😊Hi all!
It's November already and Senior 3 have had a fantastic month! It's hard to believe Christmas is only a few weeks away!
Our class absolutely love books and love reading. We visit the local library each Monday and are always on the lookout for new, exciting stories and facts. The more weird, the more wonderful! We also write a book report every week on our chosen books to show our unerstanding and appreciation and share it with each other.
Half of our class are preparing to leave school next summer and two students have went on their work experience. This was a brilliant experience for them and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
We are currently designing our Winter Board and preparing to display it in the school hall. The class love this group activity, in particular getting to use bright colours and lots of imagination.
Tina is still joining us for weekly yoga sessions. This is so beneficial to our health and wellbeing and essential to our weekly timetable. The students really look forward to this 45 min session every Tuesday, and even Ms. Rossiter has started to join in...(we all need to unwind!)
Two of our students have joined the dance group with Ms. Rossiter this week and are just loving the energy, fun and music!
Happy (winter) days!
A visit from Extreme Rhythm!
We had a surprise visit from Kevin and Nicky from Extreme Rhythm and "Sing Out Loud" fame today! They presented us with a picture taken on the night of the concert. We had a jammimg session with them!
